On Friday 21 March 2025, for the 13th webinar of our ECOSYSTEX Insights Series, we welcomed DigInTraCE EU Project, BioSusTex, EU-Project r-LightBioCom and CRAFT-IT4SD.

We first heard from Alexandros Chatzipavlidis from I-SENSEGroup/ICCS who discussed how DigInTraCE EU Project advances polyester recycling by integrating digital technologies for sustainable textile production. Anne-Charlotte Hanning from RISE Research Institutes of Sweden then will presented BioSusTex moving towards absolute safe and sustainable biobased textiles. Pau Pascual from AITEX discussed EU-Project r-LightBioCom's new bio-based and sustainable raw materials enabling circular value chains of high-performance lightweight biocomposites.

Finally, Adriënne Heijnen and Marianne Ping Huang from Aarhus University showcased how CRAFT-IT4SD bridges heritage techniques and digital technologies to design for fashion and textile under-consumption.
