Textile Circularity in Action: Building Reuse and Recycling Networks in Catalonia

Join SOLSTICE in Barcelona on 26 November, for “Textile Circularity in Action: Building Reuse and Recycling Networks in Catalonia”, a half-day event exploring how reuse and recycling networks can be built and scaled across the Catalan textile ecosystem, bringing together policymakers, innovators, researchers and practitioners committed to advancing circular textiles.

The morning will combine expert presentations, panel discussions with Catalan and European good practices, and a hands-on workshop and site visit, offering practical insights into systemic change.

The programme will:

  • Spotlight SOLSTICE and present the Catalan pilot, alongside the outcomes of the Catalonia regional study and a presentation on chemical recycling by LEITAT.

  • Showcase Catalan good practices driving textile circularity: 080 Fashion Week, ARECA and the TEXFOR reuse initiative.

  • Foster cross-regional dialogue with the SOLSTICE German and Italian pilots: Berlin's Denim Bonus Repair and Prato's Repair Gamification App.

Conclude with a textile printing workshop as an upcycling strategy and a guided visit to Barcelona Circular.

Presentations will be translated between Catalan, Spanish and English.

If you are active in circular textiles, urban policy, sustainable business models or reuse and recycling networks, this is a unique opportunity to exchange insights and help accelerate systemic change across Europe.
