On 17 April 2026, for the 21st webinar of our ECOSYSTEX Insights Series, we welcomed expert speakers of four different textile sustainability and circularity projects sharing progress and insights.
We first heard from Brigitte Hee Olesen from Herning Kommune, who shared SorTex's midway insights on textile collection, sorting, and circular value chains in Denmark and Sweden. Marion Real from CEDECS-TCBL and Younghyun Kim from Erasmus University Rotterdam from Fabrix then explored the role of facilitators in building local value chain communities. Marta Casadesús from Tèxtils.CAT presented how the CIRTECHTEX project is closing the loop on circularity in personal protective equipment manufacturing. Finally, Ghalia Nassar from Wageningen University & Research and Lina Santos from Oxfam Ireland from the shared CISUTAC's work on understanding and influencing consumer behaviour.
